Buddy the 13-year-old Golden Retriever spent her entire life with her best friend, Hannah Foraker. When Hannah enlisted in the army and went to basic training in Oklahoma, Buddy was left behind. It was tough for Buddy, but Hannah's family looked after her while she was away.

Finally, after three long months, Hannah returned home for Christmas. She couldn’t wait to see Buddy again, and the feeling was mutual. As soon as Buddy saw Hannah, she couldn't contain her joy and excitement, burying her head in Hannah’s lap and crying in joy. Hannah was equally thrilled to see her beloved friend and began to pet her right away.

Despite her age, arthritis, and mostly deaf condition, nothing stopped Buddy from receiving Hannah with the warmest welcome. When Hannah opened the front door, Buddy came running out and greeted her and her family but then kind of did a double-take and came back to Hannah, overwhelmed with joy.

The love between Buddy and Hannah is a testament to the unconditional love that dogs offer their humans. They never forget those they love and give them “Unconditional Love”.

This heartwarming reunion proves that animals have feelings too. Buddy's love for Hannah was evident, even after three months apart. It was as if she never left at all.
