Beluga Whale Duo Puts A Large Smile On Their Face When Released Back Into The Ocean After Years In Captivity

The heartwarming story of two Beluga Whales, Little White and Little Grey, finally being rescued from a Chinese aquarium after more than a decade has captured the attention of animal lovers worldwide. These magnificent creatures were held captive and forced to perform tricks in exchange for food.

Currently, Little White and Little Grey are in their bayside care pool and will need time to adjust to their new environment before being released into the wider sanctuary located in Klettsvik Bay in the Westman Islands off the south coast of Iceland. The expert team and independent vets were present during the move and confirmed that the whales are healthy and feeding after their short trip from their landside care facility back to the sea.

The smile on the whale's face upon release was heartwarming, conveying their happiness and gratitude to be back home in the open sea. It's encouraging to see more and more wild creatures being released back into their natural habitats after years of captivity.
