Faithful Dog Dumped In Shelter With Her Teddy Bear Meets a Father Who Would Never Do That To Her
According to Pawbuzz, Ellie, a one-year-old Blue Lacy dog, was donated to a nearby sanctuary by her family in Dallas, Texas. The only thing Ellie had left in the world was her gigantic teddy bear, which she held onto tightly as she was abandoned.
Despite the fact that her family had gone through the trouble of vaccinating her, spaying her, and implanting a microchip, they abandoned her months later. Ellie was left with nothing and found herself in a noisy and frightening sanctuary that euthanizes animals for space.
Thankfully, Ellie's stay at the sanctuary was short-lived. Jennifer Jessup, an independent pet rescuer based in New York City, contacted her brother in Florida, who was looking to adopt a Blue Lacy. With the help of TAGG Rescue, Jennifer was able to locate Ellie online.
Ellie's friend picked her up along with her teddy bear and took her to a boarding facility, where she was cleaned and her paperwork was sorted. Ellie spent one night in a foster home before being transported to Florida.
Although Ellie was still quite frightened, her new dad spent the day trying to cheer her up. The long journey and fear had exhausted Ellie, but her father was patient and gave her a lot of attention and affection.
Ellie has since settled in with her new family and is much calmer. She's getting along well and receiving plenty of love from her new owner. It's clear that Ellie has found a fantastic home with her new family, and they adore her.
This heartwarming story of rescue and adoption is a reminder of the importance of providing loving homes for animals in need. By adopting a pet, we not only change their lives but also enrich our own.
The story of Ellie is a powerful reminder of the importance of responsible pet ownership. Owning a pet is a lifelong commitment that requires time, patience, and resources. Abandoning a pet is not only cruel but also illegal in many places.
If you're considering getting a pet, be sure to do your research and find a pet that fits your lifestyle and personality. Consider adopting from a local animal shelter or rescue organization, where you can find pets in need of loving homes.
Additionally, make sure to provide your pet with proper care, including regular veterinary check-ups, proper nutrition, exercise, and socialization. Remember that pets are living beings that require attention and love, just like us.
And if you're unable to care for your pet for any reason, please do the responsible thing and find them a new loving home. Abandoning them to fend for themselves is never an acceptable option.
Let Ellie's story inspire us to treat our pets with the love and respect they deserve and to always do our part to provide a safe and loving home for them.
