Rescued Baby Lion Cannot Sleep Without Favorite Blanket Even Now As An Adult

Lambert the African lion was rescued by Vicky Keahey after being illegally purchased by a family who later decided they could no longer keep him. Upon his arrival at the In-Sync-Exotics rescue, Lambert looked more like a puppy dog than a lion, and Vicky was happy to provide him with a forever home.

According to Vicky, Lambert was obtained illegally as a pet for the family's young children, who had requested a lion after watching The Lion King. However, after a short time, the family realized that they could not properly care for the animal and reached out to the In-Sync-Exotics rescue.

Upon arrival at the rescue, Lambert was provided with a 7,000 square foot space to run around in, including a covered den area for shade and protection from the weather and a sunny, grassy playground with a pool that he loves to play in. However, there was one thing that Lambert could not do without, and that was his comfort blanket.

According to Vicky, Lambert slept with his previous owner's grandfather and had a particular fondness for blankets. To make Lambert feel more comfortable, Vicky would give him a blanket to snuggle with each night.

Lambert has since grown into a healthy and happy adult lion, but his playful and energetic nature has remained the same. According to Vicky, he has "full cattitude" and is just like any other 2-year-old lion. Despite his size and strength, Lambert is a gentle giant who loves nothing more than playing and snuggling with his favorite blanket.

Lambert's story is a reminder of the importance of proper animal care and how animals like lions should not be kept as pets. While Lambert was lucky to find a loving home at the In-Sync-Exotics rescue, many exotic animals are not as fortunate and end up in situations where they are neglected or mistreated.
