Poor Dog Abandoned on Roadside With Entire Collection of playthings

 The image of a cute and innocent dog left all alone on the roadside, inside his crate with all his belongings, is heartbreaking. Unfortunately, this is what happened to a 2-year-old Maltese in a peaceful town in Massachusetts. He was found by locals who were out for a walk in the morning.

The dog was abandoned with his leash, blanket, food, jacket, and an entire collection of toys. However, he was not left there for long, and he was rescued from the cold weather promptly after being freed from the crate. It seems that the person who left him there intended for him to be found by the right people.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) took in the dog, who appeared to be in good health after being examined by veterinarians. The dog was clearly grateful to his rescuers for saving him from the rain and enjoys spending time with the staff at the shelter.

"Volunteers and staff have noticed the dog's friendly nature...and how he relishes his small treats," as mentioned on the ARL website. Despite his friendly nature, the dog does not have a microchip and was not carrying any identification.

The authorities are currently investigating the situation and trying to find the owner. "Our current endeavor is to investigate the circumstances, which includes finding the owner," stated the Hingham police Department on their Facebook page. "If the need for adoption arises in the future, we will provide all relevant updates."

For now, the dog will remain under the care of ARL, where he is content, healthy, and safe from the cold Massachusetts streets. It is heartbreaking to think that someone could abandon such an innocent and loving animal, but thankfully there are kind people out there who are willing to help and provide a safe haven for animals in need.

It is important to remember that owning a pet is a significant responsibility, and abandoning them on the roadside is not the solution.
