Meloney Blayze, the 47-year-old owner of George, recounted the remarkable encounter, saying, "As I descended the stairs and passed through the kitchen on my way to the bathroom, something caught my eye—a pair of enormous ears peering through the kitchen window."

She continued, "It immediately struck me that those ears didn't belong to my cat. Intrigued, I switched on the light to investigate further, and to my astonishment, there, on my cat's bed, was a red fox."

Meloney had awoken at the early hour of 4 am to allow George access to the garden, and it appears that the cunning wild creature seized the opportunity to slip inside while she returned to bed.

Upon her return in the morning, she was greeted by the sight of the audacious fox cozily occupying George's beloved bed.
